Sun and Light.  The bright yellow that means birth and creation, instead of destruction. The promise that life exists and continues no matter how bad our losses, we shall overcome like the light overcomes the darkness.  A piece of mine done few years ago, The Sun, in remembrance and honour of this moment.                              .........The Sun.....  A super exciting and unique Festival of Art  happened @ the SarityourCity, Nairobi.    My pieces, New Day & Garden of Life were on display there. With the crisis in Afghanistan looming, thousands of schools have been closed, threatening access for million of girls to education. Meanwhile, in the same week, the Haita Earthquake has caused children to lose their loved ones while schools and homes have been destroyed. Wild Fires ranging accross the world (as a result of climate change), remind me of the need to preserve and appreciate our Waters, without which the fires would not be put out.  What do you think when you see,  feel or drink Water ?  It gives a cooling effect , refreshing, quenching thirst and sustaining life, its purpose is endless.  What we see around us and in others is a reflection of ourselves. We are like mirrors to each other so if we let our mind be like water, free and flowing, everything becomes clear and calm. If we surround ourselves with positive energy we automatically attract it and become positive. Cool Waters - is inspired by the idea of being free flowing yet strong like water, it slips through our fingers so easily though it's strong enough to hold ships.   Two Exhibitions in April and May  that brought with them joy, happiness and excitement !  My two recently made pieces, Garden of Life  and Intrepid Voyage both became part of these shows.  I'm happy I could be part of the gallery exhibits  and it's one of the reasons I do art, it not only gives me joy during the process, but I'm grateful my work  has been appreciated. 

 ARTBOX.PROJECT WORLD 1.0  An international Art Exhibition took place at ARTBOX.GALLERY Zurich and worldwide on ARTSY the largest art platform with over 1 million verified art buyers.  The exhibition started on January 4, 2021 and till June.  All participants were shown digitally in the gallery on six different 4K, 55″ screens from January 4 – March 31, 2021 + presented on ARTSY with their artwork. It was an honour to be part of this show!  U.M Gallery, at the Waterfront, Karen Road, Nairobi Kenya currently holds some of my treasured pieces created in 2020 - 21. The project took place from 02 - 07 May 2021 as originally planned at the Valid World Hall gallery. Originally planned for 2020 the exhibition was moved to this year due to the Covid Pandemic! Time is just a measure of particles in motion. To everyone it means something else. One minute to someone is an hour for someone else. When we are doing what we love or with who we love time seems to move fast when in trouble or doing what we do not like it seems to go on for ages. Why is that?...... Time is a perception..a mere contruct to keep order and control. If we let go of the control...say for one moment, time didn't exist in our minds... how much would we achieve, would we achieve more or less! or the same!.... How we have fit our duties, time lines, appointments, deadlines in our life dictates our reliance on time. It is life for us, if we lose it we lose life. If we master time, we mastered life and everything works well. But for a moment, if we stopped that, society, systems, protocols would be alterclocks moving fast... This Series... Dreams through Silhovettes ...... All those Paintings of mine that have silhovettes.... what is a silhouvette? do we see it only when its dark or does it need light to be seen? Much like dreams....do we need to be awake or asleep to see Dreams? A silhouette: Image or object against light becomes dark....the dream is like a silhouette covered until light falls onto it....so if we shed light on our dreams, chase or fulfill those dreams then they can light up the world !..... Never give up on the beauty of your Dreams... because if you shed light on them they can turn this place into a bright ecstasy that is in the Wakefulness of Life! .....anticipation in dreams makes possibility transform and becomes the precursor for desire to manifest into reality .....                                                      All original - Copyright Protected

 During uncertainty trial tribulations and chaos the best place to call home is where we find peace and glimmers of hope/ rays of light ! Hope is in the flight of the bird that departs from her nest in the morning leaving her chicks behind as she forages for food. Life is like a project, an opportunity to make things better, unlearn old stories and create new ones... When I contemplate on existence, how we came about, where we are headed, what is my purpose ....I come back to one marvelous reality - my existence amongst a myriad of galaxies, stars, cosmic waves and motion - all moving in tandem, harmony and synchronicity. I am reminded of our existence amidst infinite possibilities of life. Every line, every circle, every pattern in the depths of the seas, heights of land and spaces in between work in perfect rhythm and flow.  During November and December 2020 my garden has flourished. It seems this pandemic will stop us moving around, close public facilities and limit our interactions with one another however it wont stop nature from showing its beauty...and I am one definitely to want to share such beauty with you so you too can enjoy and experience the grace and magnificent of nature (without leaving your home, for some!)   Being an avid flower lover this was party time for me!...and certainly the best time for me to go outside breath in the fresh air and take some photographs....   My Garden in Bloom!...  My Father has been part of a plan to reconstruct, renovate and renew Kongo Mosque, ( a now preserved World Heritage Site location) in Diani Beach, Coastal Province of Kenya  Kongo Mosque is at the northern end of the beach road (follow the faded sign behind the Jacaranda Resort), a 16 Century construction,  Diani’s last surviving relic of the ancient Swahili civilisations that once controlled the coast, and one of a very few handful of coral mosques still in use in Kenya.  The baobab tree studded beach is a wonderful picnic spot and the mosque is worth a visit! Following my visit my Father suggested my contribution to the Mosque with an Islamic Artwork.   To end 2020 I gifted my Father the piece I created (while having Corona myself!)
