 Id like to take a moment today to appreciate UM Gallery. UM Gallery is a beautiful gem of a Gallery that promotes and sell art! Tucked away in the Waterfront in the buzzing area of  Karen in Nairobi this Gallery represents more than hundred Artists of Kenya selling their artworks to Kenyan visitors, expatriates, tourists and people from all walks of life. Artworks range from all kinds, wildlife to abstract, landscape to realistic contemporary work that are suitable to a wide variety of tastes, preferences and budget. They work tirelessly to represent Artists work and have some of my artworks showcased. In the last few years working with the Gallery, some of paintings have sold through the Gallery.   Its been a great journey  and I take this moment especially to thank UM Gallery Owners Xhuuma and Maina Maseeti for your professionalism ,  continuous  cooperation and positivity in making  Kenyan Artists feel welcome to share their talent with Kenya and the world.

 Cafeterias are energetic and exciting places. They are places where people come  together, ideas are shared and laughter and memories are made. My interest in capturing this unique experience started recently and led me to capture the expression of this cultural and social unity in the "figurines from the Far East"-  a popular tourist destination in France, historically reputed to be a regular rendezvous spot for writers, painters and literature enthusiasts.                      Les Duex Magots                           Oil on Canvas                      with Pallete Knife                           March 2023 

I was contemplating on time and how it flows like water. We cannot hold the same drop twice which made me think of creating this artwork I called The Big Wave. Oil on Canvas in March this year. The big wave is a symbol of the value & movement  of time  and also the power and resilience of nature.  In the painting that moment the big wave crashes is captured but the same wave cannot arrive  in the very same way. Bright and hot pinks are associated with love, romance &  Intense pinks create a sense of urgency. Todays painting session reminded me of that girl inside every woman who dares to be, who dares to dream, dares to be like a wildflower! She is not meant to be cut or tamed, but  she is meant to be loved and allowed to grow.
