As 2021 comes to a close and we usher in a new year, this is a time when we reflect on the year, our progress and goals. I can say I have been able to achieve the goals I had set for 2021 and I'm looking forward to 2022. The last few months of 2021 took a different turn for me in my art journey for the better. In the last few months my love for Watercolour has grown. It was after many years that I have began working with Watercolour paints again. I wanted to challenge myself in rediscovering this medium and it has been a great exploration into a medium that I once used to enjoy. There is so much one can do with Watercolour. Its certainly more versatile than I originally thought and has given me a new way of approaching my colour choice and mixing. Yes, the drying time is faster than oils, colour mixing can be done on the paper/ surface itself but one has to establish a clear picture of the idea, process and steps to take to ensure the painting provides the desired result.
