Looking back at 2022....

As I reflect on the year, 2022 was a year of unique surprises,  tough decisions, interesting  choices,  challenges and also opportunities.

In the last year from my art business front, there were surprises that needed me to make decisions and it made me realize that is the nature of business, sometimes decisions have to be made and these decisions will dictate the direction of the business / endeavour.

I was approached by three galleries for representation of my artwork with them, Monat Gallery in Spain, Rossacinabro Gallery in Italy and Montelioveto Gallery in France.

All three came as a  pleasant surprise ! And deciding which one was not an easy task ! ....

I feel blessed and honoured I got these opportunities this last year! And amongst those opportunities was the opportunity to exhibit in Womans only Exhibition on the theme of Breaking the Bias around Woman  and The Hope for Cancer Charity Auction.

Looking back, it has been an overall great year filled with exciting turns, hope for future, positivity and good news! Ofcourse it didnt come with it's own challenges !  Like the anxiety of post covid, global economic situation, rising inflation rates and prices and hence affect on budgets and spending, the prices of everything rose including the paints I buy!

Despite this , thank you to all those who were part of making it possible to get my art into the world ! It takes more than just me !

There is my mentor, the galleries, people behind those galleries, dispatch delivery and courier services, personell behind the scenes are not always mentioned however I take this chance to appreciate you all, and  all my supporters and customers for making 2022 a special year for me, for supporting a dream, appreciating my work, making me feel its valued and giving me an opportunity to make you smile!   :)

Looking forward to more memorable moments in 2023 !

Goodbye 2023....

And Hello 2024 ! .....  As the new year begins, it whispers of letting go of what has been and looking towards the future. Every one of us starts the new year with contemplation of everything we want to achieve, goals and inspiration for the new year and as we do that we need to remind ourselves to be easy on ourselves and experience every day as it comes, be in the present and avoid over thinking, remembering always that every single drop makes the ocean.  Today, the first day of the new year started for me with optimism, hopes and wishes for an even better year than last. As the first night of the year draws near I'm reminded of all the possibilities that await as I turn the first page of a new chapter today.  While reflecting on the last one year and looking towards the next, I'm also reminded of my countless blessings and the many things I should be thankful and grateful for. As I cherish deeper what I have a part of my soul bleeds for the many who are facing sufferin...

Connecting with the Self

As we journey through this life there is a part of us that is not visible to the eye and trascends beyond - our  soul. Every time I pick up the brush and paint, I feel this part of me awakened and I am in tune with this facet of being. It exists in a far more powerful realm than we can see with our eyes, however we can feel its existence once we tap into that infinite  wisdom that holds all the connections between our most inner most secrets, abilities, visions and dreams. It is  a sanctuary of eternal divinity once tapped releases the energy of being connected with the source power.  It knows our deepest truths and is a comforting guidance that shines brightly to illuminate the path for us. It allows us to utilise our intuitive experience to pave the way forward for us without doubt and fear but trust and faith.  If we all stopped for a moment and asked ourselves to connect with our soul how would that feel ?  Unfortunately many are trapped in chasin...

UM Gallery Womans Month - June 2022

Women's Month Exhibition titled "Breaking the Bias Value Our Differences"   started 1 June to 31 June  Thursday - Sunday 10 am  - 7 pm  @ UM Gallery, First Floor, The Waterfront Karen, Nairobi It was a Celebration of the Uniqueness, Beauty , Essence of Women and their role in community and society !   The title of the exhibition speaks for itself. Artworks were on display that expressed Artists interpretation of breaking the bias around gender equality, womens rights, women at work, societal bias of women.  While creating my own artworks, I contemplated on the idea of the multi-faceted nature of The Woman figure. The same woman who can keep a child in her belly for 9 months, can be a housewife a CEO or anything she wants to be. I reflected on the stigma around the right role of a woman  and the exhibition was my way to highlight this very important topic. It is women who can make that change. As a woman, how do I express my individu...
