 Cafeterias are energetic and exciting places. They are places where people come  together, ideas are shared and laughter and memories are made. I was contemplating on time and how it flows like water. We cannot hold the same drop twice which made me think of creating this artwork I called The Big Wave. Oil on Canvas in March this year. The big wave is a symbol of the value & movement  of time  and also the power and resilience of nature.  In the painting that moment the big wave crashes is captured but the same wave cannot arrive  in the very same way. Pink also represents friendship, inner peace, and approachability....so to strengthen  connection with people, lets think pink  !       ...

Todays painting session reminded me of that girl inside every woman who dares to be, who dares to dream, dares to be like a wildflower! She is not meant to be cut or tamed, but  she is meant to be loved and allowed to grow.  The Last two months of 2022 went by in a flash ! ....there was alot happening ! Birthdays in the family, wrapping up work, prepping for holidays, family reunions and if that wasnt enough two amazing celebratory events to end the year! ....  24/7 Group Entertainment presented  ART FEST 2022 - ART in the WILD !   An annual fun filled day of art, dance, drama & entertainment   @ Kenya Wildlife Service HQ,  Langata Nairobi 18 December 2022  9am to 6pm.  A family friendly event not to be missed promoting artistic creativity, culture, tourism and conservation! All ages were welcome !children came in numbers to enjoy the end year feasts on display!  I had my paintings on sale along with end of year gifts including my art on tshirts, calendars and notebooks plus sweet treat hampers and gifts including chocolates and kids treats!  It was an exciting event with sales and looking forward to the next event already !  #artinthewil...

As I reflect on the year, 2022 was a year of unique surprises,  tough decisions, interesting  choices,  challenges and also opportunities.  In the last year from my art business front, there were surprises that needed me to make decisions and it made me realize that is the nature of business, sometimes decisions have to be made and these decisions will dictate the direction of the business / endeavour.   I was approached by three galleries for representation of my artwork with them, Monat Gallery in Spain, Rossacinabro Gallery in Italy and Montelioveto Gallery in France.  All three came as a  pleasant surprise !
